Van unas citas de Sandman de Neil Gaiman, pobre de quien no lo haya leido... en vacaciones leeré nuevamente los 10 libros... tal vez, tengo mucho que hacer:
"-What power would hell have if those imprisoned here would not be able to dream of heaven?"
Dream to Lucifer and the citizens of Hell, in Preludes and Nocturnes.
"-People think dreams aren't real just because they aren't made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes."
John Dee, in Preludes & Nocturnes.
"It means that we're just dolls. We don't have a clue what's really going down, we just kid ourselves that we're in control of our lives while a paper's thickness away things that would drive us mad if we thought about them for too long play with us, and move us around from room to room, and put us away at night when they're tired, or bored."
Rose Walker, in The Doll's House.
"-I'm not blessed, or merciful. I'm just me. I've got a job to do, and I do it. Listen: even as we're talking, I'm there for old and young, innocent and guilty, those who die together and those who die alone. I'm in cars and boats and planes; in hospitals and forests and abbatoirs. For some folks death is a release, and for others death is an abomination, a terrible thing. But in the end, I'm there for all of them."
Death, talking about herself, in Dream Country.
"-To absent friends, lost loves, old gods, and the season of mists; and may each and every one of us always give the devil his due."
Hob Gadling, toasting upon Dream's journey to Hell in Season of Mists.
"-I didn't know you could stop being a God.
Delirium and Dream conversating, in Brief Lives.
"-You are mortal: it is the mortal way. You attend the funeral, you bid the dead farewell.
Dream to his son Orpheus, in Brief Lives
Delirium and Dream, in Fables and Reflections.
"-Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" or "how very perceptive" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart."
Rose Walker, talking to Desire about love in The Kindly Ones.
"- The one I just hate is when I'm just an actor on a strange television version of my life. Have you ever had that dream?
Clark Kent to Batman, in The Wake.
"- I think the whole world's gone mad.
Sexton and Death, in Death: The High Cost of Living.
